Finding God’s Presence

My good friend Brittany sent me this wonderful article by Rachel Held where she talks about finding God’s presence in our lives, as well as in others, and I just had to share it!  While I might not struggle with discounting God’s presence in my friend’s lives, I do tend to discount Him in my own.   As women in today’s culture we are surrounded by an astounding amount of opportunities, and I feel, at least for me, it is very easy to get sucked into the comparison game.   If you are anything like me, you are surrounding by amazing women with amazing gifts, and it is so easy for me to let insecurity take over  and start analyzing my life next to theirs. But God has bestowed each of us with our own set of unique abilities and experiences, and uses us accordingly, in accordance with His will.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well.”  Psalm 139:13-14
